Adidas needed to introduce Gen Z to the iconic Forum, the 80s basketball shoe worn by Michael Jordan before the Jordan era. And for Gen Z, nostalgia and individuality hit harder than pristine newness. They want individuality, nostalgia, and one-of-one vintage finds. So instead of telling them how to wear Forum, we let them style it themselves. We flipped a 1984 city bus and took seven Gen Z creators on a “Thrift & Ride” tour through Brooklyn vintage shops, where they built original looks around the shoe. The entire day was documented through their own feeds, resulting in 28 unique vintage-inspired looks and a social giveaway for fans to win fits styled by their favorite creator.
