Nanga Def, I’m Malik.
5 quick things you should know…
1.) I believe Curren$y belongs in the Library of Congress.
2.) I need to get on The Amazing Race while my knees still work.
3.) I have enough random knowledge to talk to almost anyone about almost anything.
4.) Cooking is my favorite form of art. Dinner is a love language.
5.) I’m still waiting for a real explanation on why How to Make It in America ended after 2 seasons.
I’m a non-traditional creative, art director, strategist, clothing designer, and content creator with Senegalese roots, small-town Western Massachusetts beginnings, and a point of view shaped by fashion, sport, music, food, travel, and the internet being deeply unserious.
I make work with a pulse. Ideas with taste, timing, specificity, and enough human truth that people actually want to spend time with them. The goal is always to help brands feel like they belong in culture, not like they bought a ticket and showed up late.
When I’m not working on briefs, I’m usually designing clothes, making videos, styling, cooking, traveling alone, people-watching, thinking about dinner, or turning something I saw on the street into a better idea.
Tell me about the thing you keep thinking about but haven’t fully said out loud yet.
