Nanga Def, I’m Malik.
Malik Gadjigo is a creative strategist and art director based in New York — born in small town western Massachusetts to Senegalese parents, which probably explains a lot.
He works across branded content, experiential, and original IP, developing campaigns rooted in culture and built to actually move people. He's spent time with independent shops like KAMP Grizzly, Big Spaceship, and Palette Group, to large agencies like TBWA\Chiat\Day LA, to in-house at PUMA on the Hoops team. Clients and collaborators include ESPN, the Premier League, Gatorade, adidas, Foot Locker, Netflix, FOX, Paramount, the Phoenix Suns, Fear of God, and more.
He currently operates as an independent creative strategist — working with people who don't talk over others, who value divergent thinkers, and who want to make work that resonates with culture, not LinkedIn feeds.
Away from client work, he's developing original projects at the intersection of golf, menswear, and the kind of storytelling that doesn't announce itself.
He'd love to hear about what you're working on. Even the ones you're still dreaming about.
Some things you should know:
Curren$y has the quintessential rap career.
I will get on & win the Amazing Race.
I express myself best through the meals I make.
I pride myself on being able to have a conversation with anyone about anything.
I won't fully rest until we bring back the show, How to Make It in America.
